All this hype about social networking has made so much impact in the lives of “netizens” that one is left behind without an account.  Social networks offer sharing, communication, collaboration, business opportunities, and many more to everyone who gives attention to it.

Undoubtedly, Facebook dominates this part of cyberspace.  Digital natives (the new generation) are not complete without an account in FB and many “digital immigrants” (the generation decades ago) are getting into the social network bandwagon.

But it’s not just Facebook now.  An imminent threat is approaching and it is carried on the shoulders of the cyber giant Google.  And they call it Google+.

Of course, there are many social networks out there even before Facebook but they were crushed and torn and left for dead.  Facebook was their worst nightmare.

Will Google+ be Facebook’s greatest nightmare? In order to prepare for this battle, Facebook, Microsoft, and Skype have joined forces to swing the sling and throw the stone on Big G’s forehead hoping to cut its head off when it falls to the ground.  That would be a sight of the century but Google did not make this big because of lack of preparation and strategic planning.

This may not be a David vs. Goliath battle but it sure is going to be one everyone wouln’t want to miss.
